Three minuet wonder Research

The three minuet wonder episodes i watched and enjoyed were:

Elsa

Karl Pilkington- Life

Dan Flavin- 'untitled'

I liked the three minuet wonder Elsa Elsa because it was  a heartwarming an honest depiction of a woman suffering with a very serious issue, it dealt with it with sensitivity and Honesty without trying to reach to the viewer to badly. it simply captured a few minutes of someone going through a serious issue. it also used shots of the landscape outside as point of view shots as  Elsa, a woman suffering with cancer says the only part of the experienced she enjoyed was the view from her room. Overall a powerfully moving glimpse of a woman suffering a terrible hardship.

However the reason i enjoyed Carl Pilkington's three minuet wonder about life was for very different reasons, i found that the Carl Pilkington Three minuet wonder was funny due to the simplistic nature of Carl Pilkington's observations on life and his slow dimwitted way of telling them, it was funny enjoyable and with no real message except  to entertain it was a short, quirky, enjoyably honest version of a simple mans opinions on the great question of life itself.

The final short i watched Dan Flavin 'untitled' in which a group of students question and puzzle over whether or not two light tubes placed at a 90 angle from each other is technically art. the overall was intresting as it was interesting to see young minds interpreting was some students though to be garbage and pointless while others thought of it as a "cool" use of lights
