production diary

today we continued editing, Horatio completed the majority of the work, we had to consider changing, improving and fixing a few shots as there were a few errors, most of them being continuity. we have decided to change color, (to compensate for the continuity error that i was wearing two different shirts on two different days) so we have decided to make it black and white, partly as a homage to the independent film 'clerks' but mostly to cover a big continuity error. we encountered other problems as well, one being that our establishing shot, a pan up to show Horatio waiting for me to appear with a fake i.d had for some reason faded in and out, an affect we did not need or want. other problems being that we had repeated some shots (the scene where i run to deliver the i.d) we had done twice, so we had to make a choice on choosing the right shots and on not choosing the wrong shot, and subsequently loosing the shot we might have preferred or wanted. overall editing has been a success, we are encountering few errors and are happy with the amount of footage we have.
